It takes many hands to put together a program of this size and creativity! Look below to find the volunteer team that best fits your family.
We are always looking for volunteers to help support and substitute with your elementary sessions.Faith Formation Classroom Volunteer Opportunities
Catechist for Grades 2-8
Responsibilities
- Come to the preparation night the fourth Wednesday of each month to plan for the upcoming month's lessons.
- Teach, share faith on one Wednesday a month
Qualifications
- Must love young people and joyful about your faith
- Willingness to learn more about the Catholic faith and share with others
- Must be Virtus certified by Diocese of Madison (via online training)
Helper / Leader for Grades 2-8
Responsibilities- Engaging in individual preparation as needed
- Help catechist with lesson, listening, facilitating
- Textbooks, lesson plans and supplies will be provided
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn more about the Catholic faith and share with others
- Willingness to dive in (sometimes last-minute) to support a classroom!
- Must be Virtus certified by Diocese of Madison (via online training)
Facilitator for Adult Discussions
Responsibilities- Engaging in individual preparation as needed
- Facilitating a small group of adults with hospitality, welcome and joy
- Lesson plans and materials will be provided
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn more about the Catholic faith and share with others
- Ability to listen and re-direct group using small group facilitator skills
- Understanding the content of the learning program
Logistics
Responsibilities
- Check in with classroom leaders to assess any additional needs
- Be available throughout session to provide additional support to classroom leaders and Faith Formation coordinators
- Make copies if needed,
- Must be Virtus certified by Diocese of Madison (via online training)
Qualifications
- Comfortable interacting with others and addressing questions/needs
- Flexible nature - a team player!
